Just For Kicks: I Couldn't Get Enough Of The Shears!

Ever see a hairstyle or haircut on someone and immediately get inspired to replicate the look on yourself? That is exactly what happened here. Seen it, wanted it, luckily got it...

It was only recently that I got my hair did and already I wanted to change it up. Not that I didn't like the last cut at all because my cousin did such an amazing job and I was very much happy to be in the short hair realm of things. But part of me wanted to feel more edgy and of course you only have a better idea of what you want after other things have taken place. In this case, my initial cut.

She had initially given me a purple slice on the left side of my dome when I got my hair done a couple of weeks ago, but due to virgin hair it didn't pronounce itself as well as we'd hope. So, as fate would have it, I was lucky to score another cut when she came over the other day to drop off the hair dye. She went shorter on the same style and left my sides where they were.

You can see a bit of the purple here.

I really like this cut a lot. I do have to bust out my flat iron for the sides since they like to curl up a bit, but it only takes a minute or so to fix and I don't touch anything else! For me, that's hair efficiency at its finest!

I hope your locks are full and well-behaved today!

Aloha,
Mrs. Lynne

lynne - your new hair is HOT. love the little punk in you showing through with the bit of purple in your hair :) and all the layers/angles all around! I've been itching to cut my hair again as well, haha...debating between getting short hair or more bangs.

Whoa! Look at you rocking the Posh bob! I love it! It looks fantastic framing your pretty face! :) Love the purple too!

My hair is curly and long, and long it shall stay! But I love looking at the fabulous cuts other people can pull off!

I had a similar cut like this once, except the back was longer on mine. and I had blue tips on the side. but after leaving the salon, i really couldn't keep the style, so i hats became my best friends, LOL. but that looks great on u, did ur stylist bleach ur hair before she dyed it purple (5 minutes will do the trick)? that might make it more vibrant.

Oh I luv this look. It's so chic and cool especially for the summer. One of my friend has a similar cut and she said it takes forever to style. It is the same case with you?

CUTE! I love the hint of purple. You'll be the hippest mom at the playground!

Thanks Sis Mayaari! I remember when you just cut your hair and how chic it was! I can definitely see you sporting some sexy bangs also though. Ohh.. decisions. Perhaps you'll end up with short hair AND bangs, heh.

How short were you thinking about cutting it?

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

Honestly Glosslizard, I was really skeptical about this cut because my hair has a natural wave to it. But it's actually been behaving lately which sits very well with me so far, hah.

Btw, are you a hair product junkie as well?

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

Hey chi,

I actually wanted to do purple chunks throughout my head but refrained from a write-up at work, hah. Next up is blue or pink for me!

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

I can't imagine you cutting your hair Distinque. Therefore, do it so I can see :P Heh.

Whoa, down to your hips? I haven't had my hair down to there... EVER! I'm impatient, hah.

Hey yummy411.

Is it because the site is blocked or are the pictures taking to long to load?

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

Hey Imee. I bet this cut looked sooo cute on you girl! Young and hip you is ;)

My cousin did bleach my hair prior but it was on virgin hair so it didn't lift as well as it should of. We did it again and the purple came out much better. But for work purposes, the purple has to stay concealing :/

But blue and pink are on my next list, hah.

I can totally see you sporting the even shorter hair Sis Ren. I can't wait for you to be a full-fledged MA so you can get your pink streaks on :D

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

Thanks Anne! I'm glad y'all are giving me positive reviews on it because if not, I'd definitely have to wait awhile for it to grow back so I can change it, lol.

How are you doing anyways missy? When are you coming here?!?!

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

Thank you J! Need to make sure all the kids come over to my house instead ;) Hah, jk.

I love this new style yummy411. It really does make me feel more "in" than "frumpy", hah.

Hey eBeautyBlog!

Thanks for the lovely comment. For me, it actually doesn't take that long to style. Honestly all I do is just straighten the sides since they like to curve a little and I'm good to go. I cannot spend more than 3 minutes on my hair especially when I have all this makeup to use up, lol!!!!

How are you doing this week, hun?

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

I'm trying any way I can Karen! Gotta make sure the tykes friends end up at our house instead ;) Hah.

Love the hair; love the purple. It makes you look like a super-hero, or something; late '90s Storm.

I used to have to straight-iron my hair to get it straight, but now I've found that a fine-toothed rat-tail comb works best for straightening my locks and giving them shape and direction. For $3, the comb is much cheaper than a flat-iron (faster too).

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

Hi MandyPandy!

Thanks for the comment hun. I'm definitely feeling a little more cooler nowadays, lol.

Oooh, I so envy you in using a comb to straighten your hair. I actually can do that too since my hair will hold after I get out of the shower, but as it dries (and I move) my hair slowly dries with it's curl. Buuuut, it's not as bad as before. I can actually let my hair air-dry now and worry too much about the mane-effect like before. Oh boy, THAT was some hair, hah.

Are you a hair product junkie as well? Any favorites?

Thanks Emilee,

I'm feeling young and sassy cuz of it, lol. Amazing what a new cut can do to a person, huh? ;)
