FOTD: Get A Clue Lovely Lily!

MAC Lovely Lily pigment is an excellent Spring color choice. A soft and delicate lavender, it's real easy to incorporate this into a lot of looks. Although I'm in uniform, you can definitely play it up with a cute spring dress and some flats. The result? You're ready to embrace the season!

Here's how to get the look for yourself.

Brushes You'll Need:

  1. MAC 252 (or 242)
  2. MAC 239
  3. MAC 222 (or 224)
  4. MAC 219
Eye Products You'll Need:
  1. Girl Friendly p/p
  2. Lovely Lily p/m
  3. Clue e/s
  4. Charred e/s
  5. Shroom e/s (or highlighter of your choice)
  6. Graphblack Technakohl
  7. Beige-ing s/s
How To Get The Look:
  1. Apply a layer of Girl Friendly p/p on the lid (MAC 252). Smooth the edges out with a clean ring finger if need be.
  2. Place Lovely Lily p/m on top of Girl Friendly p/p (MAC 239). Blend out edges.
  3. Put Clue e/s on the outer 1/3 of the lid concentrating the color at the very edge and sweeping inwards (MAC 239).
  4. With Clue e/s in place on the outer lid, dip a blending brush (MAC 222) into Clue e/s and starting from the outer corner of the eye, blend all the way around the edges to the inner tear duct. Repeat until fully blended.
  5. Using a pencil brush (MAC 219) and starting from the very corner of the outer crease, draw a small line using Charred e/s into the crease. Then use the side of the pencil brush to blend outwards.
  6. Highlight the brow bone. In here, I used Shroom e/s with a MAC 239.
  7. Add Graphblack Technakohl to the waterline. I do this before adding eyeshadow to the lower lashline in the even the liner gets outside of the waterline, I can smudge the edges when I line the lower lashline with eyeshadow.
  8. Apply Beige-ing s/s to the lower lashline. This will act as a base for the eyeshadows.
  9. With a pencil brush (MAC 219), run Lovely Lily p/m over Beige-ing s/s.
  10. Using the same brush, line the very outer lower lashline with Charred e/s to add depth to the outer corners of the eyes.
  11. Lining your eyes is optional. I did not since the darkest color I was using was a medium gray.
  12. Curl them lashes and love them with mascara.
Do you coordinate your makeup for the seasons? Of just wear what comes to mind?

Aloha,
Mrs. Lynne

You look beautiful in lilac, Auntie. I have never been able to pull off lighter pastels off. I've tried everything. Boo. And to answer your question, I usually don't go with the season. I wear whatever whenever!

I love Cranberry crazychick! I love it as a crease color too, hah. I want to say something like Satellite Dreams or Beautiful Iris could possibly dupe for this. Those are off the top of my head though. Btw, have you ever tried mineral eyeshadow before? What are your thoughts if you have/have not?

And thanks for the wishes :) You are so sweet, heh.
