New Loot: The GoW Santa Has Made A Delivey

Sure seems like Christmas around here lately because a few packages have finally made their way home to me. And now that my most anticipated purchase from the Garden of Wisdom Store is here safe and sound, I'm ready to take my skin to new heights!

CLEANSERS, TONIC, HYDRATING MIST
Row 1 (Left to Right)

GoW Fruity Exfo Cleanser 5% (cleanser with BHA)
Jen's Green Tea/Shea Cleanser (gentle cleanser with antioxidants for all skin types)

Row 2 (Left to Right)
GoW Clarifying Tonic (brings skin's pH back into balance)
GoW Pineapple Hydrating Mist (pineapple is good for clogged skin)

HYDROSOL, CARRIER OILS, AND OTHER INGREDIENTS
(Left to Right)

Melissa Hydrosol (hydrating and good for acne)
Aloe Vera Juice (used for toner, clay masks)
Seamollient (binds moisture)
Kukui Nut Oil (lightest oil and absorbs well)
Camellia Oil (Oleifera) (great at conditioning skin)

HA SERUMS, AHA/BHA, SKIN LIGHTENING
(Left to Right)

Immortelle/Helichrysum HA (helps balance combination skin)
Blue Mallow HA (irritated and aging skin types)
Goji Berry HA (high in Vitamin C content)
GoW Mandelic (15%) Marine Serum (AHA serum)
GoW Light n' Bright Serum (skin lightening serum)
GoW Natural Salicylic Acid (2%) Gel (natural and gentle exfoliation, BHA)

ACTIVES AND CREAMS
Row 1 (Left to Right)

Manuka Honey (moisturizing, antibacterial, good for all skin types, mix with clay masks)

Row 2 (Left to Right)
GoW ReNew Cream with Renovage (heals and conditions skin and brightens complexion)
GoW Classic Azule Base Cream (absorbs well, smooths and hydrates skin)

EXTRAS
(Left to Right)

.25 oz Amber Glass Bottles w/ droppers (to put carrier oils in)
Microfiber cloths (exfoliation)

You can say that I have my skin care routine cut out for me with this in-depth starter set. Here is my tentative skin care schedule in which I will alternate the products as I see fit:

AM
  • Rinse face with water -or- cleanse with GoW Fruity Exfo Cleanser 5%. Most mornings I plan on just splashing water on my face and continuing on with my routine (my skin is not dependent on an actual cleanser in the mornings especially since I'm not up in the middle of the night dirtying my face) but depending on how my skin feels when I wake up, I may opt for further cleansing beyond water.
  • Tone/Hydrate. Red Wine Vinegar/Aloe Juice Toner, Clarifying Tonic, Pineapple Hydrating Mist, or Melissa Hydrosol.
  • HA + Carrier Oil. I can choose from Immortelle/Helichrysum HA, Blue Mallow HA or Goji Berry HA and mix with either Kukui Nut Oil or Camellia Oil. I will probably alternate days (or depending on how my skin is) on using the carrier oil and instead just add the HA serum directly to the cream in the next step.
  • Cream. Seal in all the goods with the Classic Azule Base Cream.
PM
  • Cleanse. Jen's Green Tea/Shea Cleanser is perfect for the evening since it's very good at taking of MMU.
  • Exfoliate. Choose between microfiber cloth, Glacial Clay mixture (Manuka Honey, Seamollient, etc...), Mandelic Acid (with Light 'n Bright optional), Natural Salicylic Acid Gel, Lemongrass Cleanser, Pumpken Mask.
  • Tone/Hydrate. Clarifying Tonic, Pineapply Hydrating Mist, or Melissa Hydrosol.
  • HA + Carrier Oil/Cream. Emulsify any of the 3 HA serums with either Kukui Nut Oil or Camellia Oil. Or add the serum to the next step.
  • Cream. Seal in the goods with GoW ReNew Cream with Revonage.
Looks pretty extensive but it doesn't take that long to get everything done once you get the hang of it :)

Have any Santas come by your place recently to drop off any presents?

You make me wanna buy GoW stuff now. LOL. Did you get an HA serum? GoW's HA serums are AWESOME! :) You should try the Honeycomb one next time... very nice! ;)

Hi Sis Chris!

I've found that I would work best with Caramel and Camel.. sometimes it just depends what I feel like wearing, lol. Do you ever feel like some days you just seem darker?? I must be weird :P But I wondering if I should order it since I still have the original in Camel and I just ordered two full-size setting powders. Hmmm... I have been wearing the setting powders over the concealing though and my oils have almost been non-existent!! Sooo maybe I should order it?? Darn decisions!! Hah.

I am LOVING my GoW loot sis!! My skin is sooo thankful for the products and Markey even sent me a personal email about the post I did on their site - awwww!!!

And I got the HA 3 pack (Immortelle/Helichrysum HA, Blue Mallow HA, Goji Berry HA) to try out. Markey has a new serum on the site too that I want to try also, Calendula Pineapple. Darnit! I want it all, lol!

But you HAVE to get yourself some Glacial Clay, Manuka Honey, and Seamollient! The best mask EVER!!

Ok, I'll stop rambling now. You'll probably hate me after telling you all this, lol!

hi sistah, good to hear you're converting too *high five* LOL the Blue mallow HA looks promising, I'm loving my immortelle HA too! Just make sure not to use too many new stuffs at once. How'd you like the pineapple mist? I broke out from it. : ( boooo

Hi Sis Nanzy!

I've always been a GoW follower since the beginning of the year just hesitant to drop the cash on a full routine. I don't even have the guts to just start slow with just a few products because I get anxious and just want it all. That's why I waited until I could get my mitts on everything, lol. But until then, I just switched to the easy stuff I could make at home so that when I did transition, it would be nicer on my skin :P Trying to beat the system you can say, lol!

This post is actually late. I've had my toys for about a week now and I've already tried out most of the things just to see if my skin reacts initially, and so far so good - please no bachi (!!!). Being repetitive with tone/hydrate/ha/carrier oil/cream during the AM and PM have definitely helped my skin mucho! And from there, I just alternate on the exfoliants in the PM so my skin has done well so far.

I really like the pineapple mist. I haven't noticed any serious purging except for a few things that a surfacing but they're minor. But I will say that since I've gone gung-ho on the routine, my face has not introduced a new pimple which by now if I was still with just the OCM, would have shown! I don't remember if you told me if you had those ingredients I was just telling Christiana in the comment above for the glacial clay, but that really deserves an award!! LOL. I can't wait to exfoliate with it again. I almost want to do it today, but I'm trying to alternate the products. Ooohh, I'm so excited. Are you going to be hauling anything from there soon?

hahaha you sounds like a girl who just fell in love : ) I know what you mean tho, I was also glad to find GoW, although I am still on a bumpy road since I was a benzoyl peroxide user and that's could be one of the most regretful action I took, now I hv to pay the price by purging. I started my complete routine using gow on may 1st and I am still purging, yeh it sucks. Stay away from Benzoyl Peroxide!! Hehehe

I like the glacial clay mask too, but ive been using it just with Spring Water. The lemonbalm hydrosol smells like heaven right? Oh hv u noticed Markey came out with new Mandelic Acid? Damn I didnt see that. I actually just got my own gow loot a few days ago, Markey musta shipped ours altogether LOL "off to the island" hehe I'm gonna post the pic too soon then, I was hesitant coz I mainly just restocked my current routine : )

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

Hey Sis Nanzy,

Honestly, I didn't even know what Benzoyl Peroxide was until I read a little about it on the forum. I normally just do a manual on my zits - yikes! Which is why I now need to lighten up my scarring, lol.

I think I'm going to be alternating my use of the Glacial Clay masks between using water and the honey/seamollient. Water alone tends to make my skin more dry but I like this to really draw the impurities out. Then I can soothe my skin with the honey/seamollient the next time around.

I did notice that Markey came out with the new MA without seaweed but with Evermat... right AFTER I got my order in. I'll have to wait until I use my MA up though, but that is definitely on my list of next purchases.

Are there any other things you want to incorporate into your current routine?

Nothing in the mail for me yet! I'm waiting on some samples from the She Space & also I'm waiting on my sidekick to arrive! its been on backorder & I've been waiting for like 2 weeks! but its supposed to finally be here monday.

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

Oooh,... sorry to hear about your reaction Sis Ren. I hope your skin recovers soon.

I will let you know sis that over the past two weeks since I've had them, I've noticed a TREMENDOUS difference in my skin over a short amount of time. If I can suggest something for exfoliation, please let it be Glacial Clay, Manuka Honey, and SeaMollient. Your skin will LOVE YOU FOREVER!!! Your skin feels like a baby's butt right after - no joke! :D

If you have time love, you should definitely check out the forum. The ladies there are extremely helpful and really take good care of you :) Let me know if I can help, ok? :D

Hey giles22-atl!

Please do check out their forum and get some advice from the experts. They are THE BEST ladies to help you get your skin where it needs to be if not improve its already fantastic position. The hydrating mist is amazing. And with pineapple being a pore cleanser, it really has done a good job in slowly clearing my skin up since I've been using it.

Oooh,... a new phone!! Good for you girl! I'm should be upgrading my phone shortly as well. I can't wait since I'll be ordering it online and taking advantage of an online $50 discount - SCORE! Lol.

So do you have any other plans this weekend other than camping by the mailbox for you new phone?

Anonymous said...

Thanks for the info! Well, guess what? I'm posting this comment from my phone! It came early :D
Actually tonight me and some friends are going to play rock band, haha. Hope you have a nice weekend!

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

Wow, that's great giles22-atl! What kind of phone did you get if you don't mind my asking? I just bought an LG Dare and I'm liking it.

How was the rock band? Which one did you go see?

Mrs. Lynne, MakeupFix.net said...

Hey Emilee,

This is definitely the biggest haul I've done in a while. And it's not even makeup, lol! But after having used the products for a while now to find some stability in my routine, my skin is definitely in great shape. And you can be sure that reviews are on the prowl :)

What does your skin routine currently consist of?
