Haul: My Little Presents From J.Lynne Cosmetics

I've been needing to fill a lipgloss void lately and in my attempt to become more natural-friendly, I decided to try out some of the Gloss FX Natural Lip Glazes from J.Lynne Cosmetics. I ordered Hilary and Julianne and they were promptly shipped out to me within a few days! Gotta love fast service.

The products arrived packaged neatly in a bit of black tissue paper and finished off with pink ribbon. Ain't it cute?!

The Gloss FX Natural Lip Glaze samples have a firm outer layer that needs to be cracked through with a little love and some warm fingers or a lip brush, if you choose. But once worked into, the consistency is definitely like that of a full-bodied lipgloss! HEART.

I like the non-sticky, subtle shimmer formula that the Gloss FX Natural Lip Glazes give off. It's not nearly as overdone as MAC's Dazzleglass, but delicately tasteful and with enough color to tint the lips when worn alone. The shine is also long-lasting which I know can be a concern for some ladies who are on the constant go with nil time for a lip touch-up.

I did find that the taste of the Gloss FX Lip Glaze to be slightly like the scent of lemon pledge. It could be that I'm just not one for snacks coming in the form of a lip product because another gal commented that "it smells amazing". Anything flavored on the lips isn't necessarily my forte, but not a challenge I'm not up for. Unless you're highly sensitive to the taste of product on your lips, you can easily get used to the essence. To me it's worth the tolerance curve for such a lovely product.

But the ultimate question is: How well does it do for dry lips?

Coming from dry city herself, these babies hold moisture in very well. Even over lipstick they ride well into the night. And with ingredients like Sweet Almond, Avocado, and Orange Peel Oil and Vitamin E, my lips were cocooned in a jacket of lip loving ingredients.

("Relax, I can." - my attempt at Yoda).

Along with my order were some samples of the Soft Silk Mineral Blush in Shy, Satin Pearl Mineral Eyeshadow in Caramel Latte, and the Ultra Intensity Mineral Eyeliner in Drama Queen.

(Photos are taken in natural lighting.)

The camera didn't capture it at all but there is a nice touch of shimmer to each of these.

So, now that you've seen my mini J.Lynne Cosmetics loot, hang tight for the resulting FOTD when they're all pieced together!

Have you tried J.Lynne Cosmetics yet? If you have, what are your thoughts on this company?

Aloha,
Mrs. Lynne

i tried them a couple of weeks ago. i ordered the soaps to try and got two of the mineral eyeliners. i haven't used the eyeliners yet. i kinda get lazy with school, but they were really pretty! cha cha blush is really pretty, too! i got the peppermint soap but didn't care much for it, cause it didn't give me a minty feeling =( the smells of the soap aren't very strong. they're very light scented. i did, however, like the gorgeous gams shaving soap. it worked well and my skin wasn't dry after shaving. hehe.

Lynne, could you make the font in the pictures a little bigger? It's very hard to read.

Hey spankedelic!

If you get a chance, order the sample of the glosses. That is, if you're ok with what they may possible taste/smell like. It could be just me but I was a little taken back at first. But I honestly really like the dazzle on them.. so pretty!!

I don't even use anything when I shave :X LOL. I'll definitely keep the soap in mind. Thanks for the rec!

Hey Anonymous :)

The pictures are click-able and will open up in another window at a larger scale. It opens up in another window to avoid readers from losing their spot of where they left off. If that doesn't help, please let me know and I can do some additional adjusting from here on out, ok? Thanks for letting me know, though :D

How is your day going so far?

I want to try the rest Nilla Cookie! You should check out their glosses. The colors that they have are all very pretty and wearable from the looks of it. Plus, at $2/sample, you can't beat that :D

And you definitely have a thing for pinks! But I can see why because they look soooo great on you. I still keep thinking of that Glossimer (I think that's the one) that you did a post on before and it was soooo gorgeous. I'm still lemming that and that may be the one product that pops my Lancome lip cherry.

The way they were shipped was very cute, Julie!

And Julianne is a very pretty color also. I'm aching to get back to the site to try the remaining 4 offered.

Oh, decisions decisions, hah.
