Stopping by the MAC Store today (WITH my trusty double stroller I might add!) and chatting up with one of the MAs, we came to the conclusion that the MAC Neo Sci-Fi model was a cross between J.Lo and Sandra Bullock. There's no denying that she doesn't look like one or the other, in my opinion.
Set to release next week, yet ANOTHER MAC Collection debuts early! Well, as many may have come to cast judgment on this collection due to its loud orange casing, I think there will definitely be a change of heart for many. This collection contains many more user-friendly colors that are very suitable for the Summer season (or any season to be exact!).

Well, as many may have come to cast judgment on this collection due to its loud orange casing, I think there will definitely be a change of heart for many. This collection contains many more user-friendly colors that are very suitable for the Summer season (or any season to be exact!).
The MAC Neo Sci-Fi Collection offers 5 lipsticks and 4 lipglasses, each interchangeable to create a multitude of color combinations. The lipsticks range from Lustre to Glaze to Frost while the lipglasses pair beautifully next to their mates.
My picks? Sci-Fi Delity l/s and Soft & Slow l/g. Can we say gorgeous?!
The eyeshadows are released with 5 different colors to choose from. And with soft textures coming from Veluxe Pearl and Frost formulas and notable color payoff, these are sure to be making some people very happy.
My picks? Honestly, I like them all! They all work so well with each other.
Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I had only swatched two of the three Cremestick Liners, but they are all part of the permanent line anyways so there's no pressure in snatching these in a hurry.
My pick? Although I didn't get to swatch it, I'd go with Beurre or Summerfruit.
Ok, powder blush in the house! *standing ovation* These babies are very finely milled and very soooft! Definitely check these honeys out!
My picks? Spaced Out.! You just absolutely must!!
I ran out of time to swatch the nail polishes, but the Plasma Blu is very funky, bold, and pretty. The MA that was helping me today had it on his nails and the color looked amazing!
Overall, this collection is worth a look. I believe it delivers more than what met the eye when the preliminary information started to leak.
I surprisingly didn't grab anything from this collection but trust me when I say it's not because I didn't find any of it appealing. That is quite an understatement! But I decided to exercise self-control (which there is not much to begin with) and actually stuck to my word.
So needless to say, I will be living through each of you as you haul this collection. What are we bringing home from Neo Sci-Fi?

I got one or two things from the collection, but couldn't pass up on the lighter blush. It looks almost like Pink Bronze on the cheeks!
It's a great neutral collection, although I have to admit that I wasn't quite a fan of the bronzers. Call me strange, but I don't quite fancy looking like an oompa-loompa, haha.
I picked up a few things but tried not to go too crazy. I also picked up two solar bits from Solar Field - did you peak at those new products? soo fun!

how were the boys this time around? are they getting used to this now? LOL
well.. i liked most of the lipglasses and it's something about the face powder cases that just get me all the time. maybe because they are reusable? like i know i can't savor the pretty of a lipglass, but i can for a face powder compact. ahhh well... the shadows i pretty much passed up. i will haul soon... not right now. my wallet has DO NOT ENTER signs on it with yellow caution tape around it.

I've been really looking forward to this one so I ordered a few goodies.
I loved these colors but was disappointed that 2 of the l/g were repromotes and I already had them. But I picked up 2 of the Sci-Fi-Delity l/s (just loved that color) and Electro l/s. Also got Femme-Fi e/s. All the e/s colors were pretty but had to hold myself to one.
i swear, MAC is bankrupting me with these collections!!!

I'm planning on ordering 3 of the e/s and the Spaced Out blush. The blush looks so beautiful :D
Ugh! I only got Electro l/s and the much needed Pink grapefruit l/g. I already have expensive pink which looks great on EVERYONE. But everything else looked so blah on my dark skin. Magnetic Fields looked exactly like Smut on me. It's so frustrating.

The boys were REALLY good this trip. Even the MAs are like "omg, you have good kids!"... In my mind I'm thinking, "it's only a matter of time before they go off" (tick, tock, tick, tock), lol! But really, I just make sure I have the stroller packed with things to do and that the baby is fed prior so I can get in and out.
I liked the lipglasses also. I think I'm developing a soft spot for lipglass - oh dear. And I remember you and your face powder fetish, hah. But don't worry mama. Our wallets are sitting in detention together. I think I really need to just leave mine in detention. My kids actually might have a chance to go to college, lol.

I was kind of disappointed that they repromoted Expensive Pink. It's a lovely color, and one that I have, but I like to think of things like the eyeshadows and lip products to be new items unless they're bringing back a release that did well before. That's just my opinion, hah. But I'm glad you picked up Sci-Fi Delity! That shade is sooo amazing! And I applaud you for only caving into one of the eyeshadows. I know that self-control is a hard thing to do in a MAC store. There's so many of them and only one of us, hah.

That does sound very frustrating, hun. Does using color enhancing bases like paint pots help at all? That's what I use when I need the colors to be more pronounced. I also find that sometimes I need to pack colors on just to reveal the true color. Do you experience this as well?
