MAC Product Releases: Slimshine Lipstick (Online)

For the lip gurus in the house, MAC has released their Slimshine Lipstick collection already online. Priced at $14.50 USD, they are scheduled to be available at counters and stores tomorrow.

S0 either order online now or head to stores tomorrow! I know I'll be checking them out to see these lovely ladies in person.

Do you plan on getting anything from this collection? Or are lips at the bottom of the barrel? I'm kind of intrigued at the slim packaging of the lipsticks (reminds me of MAC's Mattene Collection) but honestly, I don't like paying over $10 for any lip products (aside from my Lip Conditioner) but I may be swayed into getting one just to play around with.

Aloha,
Mrs. Lynne

I asked Temptalia about this too, but, it seems like people are just RAVING about these, but they're 50 cents more than a lipstick and look significantly smaller. What's up with that? What makes them so much better?

mariahgem Hi there! That is a great question and I have to be honest with you. I'm not sure of the difference as I've never tried a Slimshine. I have heard that it is between a lipstick and a lipgloss so I'm imagining that its a bit more moisturizing than your average lipstick and not so thick like a lipgloss. I also heard that the staying power isn't that great with these. But I'm wondering if that is because of it's "sheer colour pay-off" that it doesn't last long. Looks like we have some questions for MAC, don't we? :P

I luuurrrrvvvvvveeeeeeeee them!! Get them! Get them! :D

Hahah seriously, though, they're great. True, they don't last that long, but the color payoff is actually not that bad. I like them because I can just toss them in my purse and not have to use a mirror for touch-up, and they're also super smooth and moisturizing. :)

Emilee I like moisturizing! I think I may get one just to see how it goes. I can't get a bunch until I know that my lips take a liking to it. But I know I wouldn't mind having them all even if my lips didn't like them, lol.

the last time they launched these babies, i wasn't crazy about them but the MA ended up selling me one which was cocoamour & i didn't like it so i sold it. LOL.

but i'm dying to give it another try. cocoamour was an ugly color on me but i wanna def try out the pinks & corals.

are these now permanent coz i didn't see the triangles next to them on the website?

Lisa Cocoamour is a pretty color, but it definitely wouldn't be my first choice. I really like Bare and Most Wanted. I may just have to go back for Most Wanted.

And I believe they are permanent. Yay!! That means we don't have to rush :)

Well, I've heard Bare is discontinued or something... and I really want to try Bare out. Seriously, I have seen videos on youtube about the Bare Slimstick lipstick and I just WANNA HAVE IT! But I need to buy it online I think, in Holland there are no shops that sell MAC, well, not in my city they don't.
