Round One - The Eye Curve
I've had my Tweezerman FOREVER and the one thing I like about it is that it accommodates the entire length of my lashes with just the right amount of curve leaving a little extra room for cushion. Its curvature is deeper in construction allowing more room to accommodate the lashes from end to end in a squeeze attempt. I had a major junk eyelash curler before whose curve was soooo flat (does that make sense?) that when I curled my lashes, the middle stood straight up (because the jaws of life were closer to the lashline) while the inner and outer lashes were crimped at the middle of the hair (because these areas were obviously further from the lashline). Not my cup of tea.
Now the Tarte is by no means flat in regards to the curve like the lash curler I just described. The length of the curve just isn't as long as my Tweezerman - same curve, just shorter in length. Because of this I have to be a bit more precise on where I place the curler to ensure no lash is left out. But nonetheless, its definitely still doable.
So check out your current curler. If the curve seems to mimic that of the Tarte, the adjustment of you getting this lash curler should be a seamless transition. If the curve of your lash curler resembles more like my Tweezerman, then its up to you to decided if the extra cut in length is suitable for your particular eye shape.

Round Two - Cushion, cushion, cushion!!
Aye ca rumba papi! I am in LOVE with the amount of cushion on this bad boy! This is heavenly compared to the beating my poor lashes have been getting up to now. It is nicely rounded, SOFT, and thicker in width to give your eye wings more pampering.
When I first stopped in Sephora to check out the display, I was amazed at the lovely pink/purple cushion (Cuuuuuttteee) and how soft it was when I tested it for pressure. I actually tried fitting this cushion in my Tweezerman (too thick, lol) because I thought the cut in curve length wouldn't sit well with me and maybe, JUST MAYBE, i could mix and match. Can't hate for trying :)

Ok, I'll admit I'm not the best at replacing the cushion (as you can see for yourself), but the cushions for the Tweezerman were flat to begin with. I don't know why I stuck with these for so long. Call it lazy, hah.

Round Three - Because Your Fingers Deserve Better Treatment
The very reason I went to check out this curler in the first place. It's ergonomic handles. I've had handle rings imprinted on my index finger and thumb before and these are a breathe of fresh air. Perfect little resting spots, my fingers get a good grip and make the lash squeezing process happen with ease.

And the winner is.... "Tarte" - The Squeezer-Friendly Eyelash Curler
Overall, this is a great eyelash curler. I would definitely recommend you check out your nearest Sephora store and take it for a test squeeze. It comes with a replacement curler pad also so you're packed and loaded should the first one take a turn for the worse.
Hope this review was helpful folks. Have a great weekend!

Great review! I found it very helpful! :] I'll check it out... maybe I'll even get one with X-mas money this year! lol. :D
-Christiana: Hey sweetie!
YAY! I'm glad it was informational :) If you get it, I'd love to hear what you think of it. And speaking of Christmas, can you believe that it's just around the corner? I have to send out my packages soon to beat the Post Office rush.
Have a great day my dear :)
LOL, you're so funny...I love this review. So you think it's worth a haul, uh? Okie dokie....I am definitely going to check it out. It definitely looks so much more comfortable.
Peace darling...I'll be 'roun your place later.
My lovely Divine! Hi doll! I would definitely check it out to see if it would work for you. And if not, then at least Sephora has a great return policy, hah.
Catch ya' in a few :)
I've been in love with my Shu lash curler for years. I dunno if I'm ready to part ways with it, but your review is pretty convincing. It doesn't hurt to just check it out, right??? ;)
Great post!
Hey Nilla. By all means, if you have one that works for you, don't stray. The Shu curler looks very heavy duty and precise in pictures so I understand your hesitation to try anything else. I actually think I'll even check that out when I stop in the store next time just to see, hah. I wish it had better handles though. That's the main reason (and of course the cushion) that I like the Tarte. But like you said, doesn't hurt to check, right? :)
Btw, random thought... you know how long it's been since I had a nilla cookie?!? Foooorever, lol.
