With all this NYX Lipstick fever I'm having it's only right that I prescribe myself the perfect remedy. And what better time to get my medicine than on a sale week! That's right ladies. NYX products are on sale at Longs - 25% off. Wasn't I just talking about getting more bang for your buck with these? Here's the proof.
For some reason, I'm always being drawn towards the dusty mauve looking colors and the light cocoa bean ones because I just don't have the heart to put them back. But since we're talking about a sale here, I figured I'd also look for a daring red and hot fuschia one as well.
Breaking down the colors...
Chloe - Hot fuschia with a pearlized sheen to it.
Hebe - Bold blue rose red.
Aphrodite - Dusty pink mauve.
Galaxy - Nudish pink with shimmer. (Sadly I can't love this one because it's a shimmer)

I love the NYX lipsticks, and I agree I am NOT a fan of the Diamond Lipstick line they got going on, it was TOO slippery/moisturized and WAYYYY too much chunky ghetto glitter going on!

You should try checking out Longs there. Or do you folks have Daiei or Don Quijote? That's where I get mine when I grab groceries :)

Yah. I'm nooot feeling the Sparkle Lipstick Line. With the glitter in it, it takes away from the moisture that I like in NYX lipsticks so much. And when you blot your lips together, the glitter gets distributed unevenly. Yuck, hah.

Girl Meets Makeup My lips immediately dry up when product is on them so anything in that aspect has always had me very sketchy. And I don't really dig lipgloss. Well, that and/or maybe I just haven't found the right one :) What brand of lipstick are you sporting these days?

What piercings and/or tattoos do you have? I have yet to get a tattoo. My design is a work on break, haha.
I like MAC Slimshines because they're a nice balance between lipstick and gloss, but the staying factor isn't that great. Otherwise, I'm using my GPW lipsticks (gotta love those, haha), or my MAC B2M lipsticks.
Girl Meets Makeup Hey you! You must be looking forward to the Slimshines release then, huh? I have no idea what they are, but with your brief explanation, you've got me curious. And they're coming out the same day as Fafi! Oh boy, what a crowd.
What color of lipstick do you tend to grab the most often?
Actually, I got a few from the last release, and also picked up a few from my CCO, so I'm pretty much set! They're pretty nifty, though - the only bad part is that they're not very lasting, but they last longer than lipglosses do.
I usually use colors in the pink/rose family. They're pretty safe colors that I can wear anywhere (ever try wearing Russian Red at family gatherings? Learned my lesson!), but I'll always have a place in my heart for my MAC Rocking Chick lipstick. :D
p.s. I'm actually getting kind of bored with Fafi...except for the packaging. I think I'm only going to pick up the quads (or maybe not even both). :\

Russian Red? Whoa hot stuff!! Too sexy for the family, huh? ;) I'm thinking the same thing about the HOT fuschia lipstick I got from NYX. I honestly don't think I'll EVER wear that out, but bought it just to have fun with it, hah.
The packaging is cute. I'm only interested in the quads and p/ps for Fafi though. Since I don't use much of the other stuff from MAC, it's worked out financial better for me :)
Do you have preference to any particular makeup line?
Hmm...I would have to say that MAC is definitely on top of the list. I think a bit part is that for the price, their products are worth it (whereas other high-end brands are $20+ for an e/s etc.). Besides MAC, I also like Urban Decay (their deluxe shadows are amazing!), and Benefit.
I'm one of those people that stick to something if I use it and find nothing wrong with it. Change is hard! lol.
Girl Meets Makeup I know exactly what you mean girl. For that same reason and the fact that I like to keep it simple (God knows my brain can't get overloaded), I'd rather stick to a single cosmetic line. Plus, it's easier doing research when the entire line of products are reputable.

I stumbled on your site.. and I got hooked! I used to live on Oahu (*tear* I miss home) but now am in Las Vegas for school. I miss Oahu and I miss shopping for NYX!! We have a Longs here, but their NYX selection isn't as great as the Don Quijote's (sigh) NYX collection in Hawaii!

Aphrodite is a really nice color. You should also check out B52. That is my absolute favorite so far.
