FOTD: Plum Electric and It's Purple Cousins

We're aging rather quickly these days because just the other day we celebrated Hubbo's 26th birthday. Here's us being silly at a company lu'au a couple days prior. The food was delish, the entertainment was enjoyable, and Santa even stopped in to visit the kids. You gotta love being on the islands.

Anyhow, this is my other half who makes my life interesting and worth living every day. I stay strong every day because of him and have been truly blessed to have him as my life partner.

On the day of his birthday, I decided to piece together a look concentrating on shades of purple
. I had no idea how it was going to turn out when I was perusing through my pots and palettes, but in the end I think it turned out fine.

It's almost Friday everyone, hooray to that!!!

Aloha,
Mrs. Lynne

Lynne! Where have you been!? I've been checking your page faithfully waiting for a post! haha. :D Anywho, in ALL honesty the purples look GORGEOUS against your complexion and you did a REALLY REALLY great job with this look. I LOVE it on you. :D Very pretty! :D

P.S. I forgot to respond about the kukui nut oil! Well, if you want to use the Kukui Nut Oil as a moisturizer what you should do is this:
1.) Cleanse your face and wipe dry with washcloth.
2.) Spritz face with a toner, hydrosol, or distilled water and LEAVE it on. Make sure your face is really damp.
3.) Put 3-5 drops of kukui nut oil in your hand and spread all over your face. Let it absorb and voila! You're done.

Kukui Nut oil is one of the lighter oils and it absorbs quite quickly. :D It really is a great oil!

Girl being on blogger makes 26 seem ancient.LOL! All these young people are keeping us young right?
I love the purple on you! It looks really good.

Chris: I've been on hiatus lately because I'm trying to get together the stuff I need to go back to school next month (please shoot me already), finishing up the Christmas shopping before the mad rushes, and dedicating a little more time to my oldest to work on some developmental skills.

Thank you for the rec on Kukui Nut Oil. I'm so glad I have another use for it since it's just sitting in my bathroom all lonely now. I have to admit though that I'm a little intimidated to use it as a moisturizer. I will probably use it as a nightly moisturizer if it works out. If I have questions, you know I'll hollar, lol.

Shawnta: Seriously!! I feel like I'm the parent who wants to hang out with their teenage kids to stay cool, lol. Beyond age though, there is just so much great talent that even if you're 8, I'll be adding those tips and techniques to my book, hah.

Anne: Hi darling! Thanks for the lovely comment :)

Yay! I love this purple look on you. Gotta love Mi'Lady's purple AND that red. They are amazing. And I can not wait to make it back to Oahu. IT has been calling my name ever since I left. I am seriously retiring there. Or getting rich enough to have a house there. Which ever comes first. HA!!

slvrlips: Hi dear. I have a genuine love-hate relationship with my Metal-X shadows. I can honestly rant on them endlessly, yet something about them makes me still want to use them. I think it's because of how it brings out the color of the shadows when applied on top. Which of them do you own and what is your experience with them?

Divine: Of that collection, I am head over heels for Mi'Lady and Earthly Riches. Those two are just my absolute favorites!

I love the island. The first time I visited here was 5 months before I moved here! I actually cried during takeoff because I didn't want to leave the island. After living here, my only wish was that it was more affordable. But it is definitely a great place to retire AND have a place :) You'll have to let me know when you end up here so we can have ourselves a cup of coffee and a very tamed trip to the MAC store. If there is such a thing, lol.

Ren: Purple would look sooo good against your skin! I hope one day it decides to work with you because I'd love to see you bust out the purples!
