Oh lordy... another haul, lol.
I've been thinking of getting the Face Brush Set since I picked up my SFF last week. The MA at the Macy's counter made a good point that this particular set would come in handy for quick touch-ups. And after feeling the actual quality from the store displays and watching Stephie's comparison video between SE's and full-size brushes, this did seem like the only set worth purchasing. My personal preference is to go straight for the full-size version but for those quickies, I was willing to trade higher quality for convenience.
Brush sets are generally offered during the holiday season and are nonetheless an excellent buy for those who are interested in trying out the brushes before laying down the green for the full-size brush. I mean, a full-size brush can cost anywhere from $10 (204) to $62 (136), according to the prices on MACCosmetics.com! However, in order to offset the price break, a cut in quality had to take place. They are decent for being smaller and compact, but are a bit harsher on the skin.

I decided to pick up the natural MSF to alternate between my Select Sheer.
And can we way "YAY" for more Paint Pots?!?! I've been waiting for Delft to finally be in stock! I have yet to think of how to use it, but it just looks sooo pretty in the pot that I knew I needed to adopt it. And Moss Scape is such a gorgeous olive green with gold undertones that there's enough dimension to wear it alone. Oh those jewel tone colors!
I added Uppity to my haul with encouragement from Christine at Temptalia. She has been using this as a base for her most recent looks. The first thing that stood out to me when I did the swatch was how vivid the color shows up. It's incredible! Like I just struck it big in the Gold Rush! However, I did take notice of the texture difference between that and the paint pots. Uppity definitely had a dryer finish than Delft or Moss Scape which means I would have to work fast when using it as a base. I also anticipate that blending can be a bit challenging if not done immediately. There's definitely a lot more play time with Paint Pots but in the case of the fluidline, that would just mean that I'd have to have my look picked out before hand.
According to MAC:I loved that when I tried this on, that it helped to bring out some of my natural color that foundation sometimes tends to absorb.
A luxurious domed face powder with minerals, slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish. Provides perfect low coverage. Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day.

And last but not least, I got me some Plush Lash.
According to MAC:Plush Lash is a technical mascara. It's one where you'd have to be shown how to use it in order use it correctly. There's a specific way to apply it in order for it to give the results as mentioned above. Hopefully I can work out the kinks because it sounds promising.
A mascara formulated to instantly plump up lashes for extreme voluptuous effect. Works fast. Builds volume smoothly and evenly from root to tip. Delivers a silky, flexible, full fan of lashes. Fluid formula lightly coats lashes one layer at a time without smearing, smudging or clumping. Goes on via an innovative, specially patented wand with a v-shaped groove that prunes the bristles on one side while leaving the other side full and lush. The short bristles coax the lashes upward to an extraordinarily sophisticated yet flirtatious curl, while the other side separates and combs the lashes root-to-tip creating a long, well-defined glamour lash. Volumizing, lengthening, curling, lifting. This mascara features everything you want, with all the top mascara no’s: no clumping, spiking, smudging or flaking.
2 makeovers:
Awesome haul Lynn! I didn't really like the holiday brush sets (I got the basic brush set) but I am sure the FACE brush sets are a steal! Mine were a bit itchy and rough on my face (just the powder brush and the angled brush) so I ended up returning it and getting the full size brushes. I love the paint pots too! Painterly is my favorite!
i know, the plushlash really did seem promising. i bought it when it first came out, but i was deeply disapppointed like before with MAC mascaras. i hope it works out for you though!
